The Impact of Your Gift
Thanks to your generosity, last year we offered meaningful programs and exhibits that sparked dialogue and enriched our community. One highlight was What We Brought with Us, an exhibit that featured photos of personal objects refugees carried as they fled persecution—each item offering a moving testament to resilience in the face of suffering and war. Our Día de los Muertos celebration included an altar blessing by Fr. Simon Adu-Gyamfi along with student presentations on the holiday’s history and significance in Latin American and U.S. traditions. Your generosity further sustained the Gumberg Library Student Endowed Scholarship, created 21 years ago by library employees as a way to honor the role of student workers in achieving the library’s mission. Together, these initiatives demonstrate our commitment to building meaningful partnerships and enriching the educational experience for our entire community. 
Your support also enables us to reimagine student spaces. In September 2025, after months of renovation, we proudly reopened our fourth floor with remarkable enhancements for students, staff, and faculty. The updated space features a new Curriculum Center, an expanded Library of Things display area, and refreshed study zones designed to meet a wide variety of learning needs.
