We develop ethical business professionals who:
We accomplish this by:
Engaging students, alumni, and business partners with passionate faculty members who create impactful scholarship and innovative educational experiences that connect theory to practice.
Your support of our business students is vital to their success and the School’s future. Thanks to your generosity, we can:
Innovation Fund: $20,000
Three anonymous donors will match all donations made to the School, dollar-for-dollar, up to $20,000. The Innovation Fund is an investment in the Palumbo-Donahue 2025 Achieving Distinctive Excellence strategic plan. Your support contributes to the on-going renovation effort of Rockwell Hall, enhances the practical based student learning experiences in our Centers of Excellence as well as augments forward thinking curricular innovations and academic thought leadership.
By supporting the Innovation Fund, the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business is able to provide transformative educational experiences living out our vision to—Be a Premier Business School with Distinctive Excellence.
Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF): $10,000
An anonymous donor will match all donations to the School of Business Student Managed Investment Fund, dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000. A transformative educational program, the SMIF program provides students a compelling, multi-year experience managing real money in order to better educate them to make sound financial decisions and prepare for success in the finance and investment management field. Through a combination of in-class learning, team and individual research, and alumni engagement, students in this program will develop the skills and abilities to make asset allocation decisions, choose among an array of securities (equities, fixed income), and make specific investment strategy choices – all in real time and in a continuously changing environment. In short, the SMIF Program is a DIFFERENCE MAKER.
Key SMIF Program Faculty/Staff include: Phil Baird, Associate Professor of Finance; Vashishta Bhaskar, Assistant Professor of Finance; Jon Kinol (B’85), Executive-in-Residence (EIR) Supporting Student Managed Investment Funds; and Jennifer Milcarek, Program Director, Investment Strategy Institute
Please make your donations to the School of Business Innovation Fund or the SMIF Fund and thank you for your support.
