The mission of the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences is to provide students with a high quality education in the natural sciences, and to advance scientific knowledge and improve society through teaching, research and engagement, thereby contributing to the mission of Duquesne University by serving God by serving students.

In the Bayer School, we educate our students so that they can contribute to scientific advancement as they prepare for exciting and rewarding careers in environmental and forensic sciences, physics, chemistry, biology and medicine.

 

Participation in nationally funded research projects and academic and career guidance from dedicated faculty mentors offer students of the Bayer School a comprehensive, individualized educational experience.

  • Partnerships with Pittsburgh’s Scientific Community
