Duquesne Day of Giving 2020

School of Nursing faculty and staff have joined together and will match donations to the Alice C. Feehan Fund dollar-for-dollar, up to $1,500! This fund provides emergency funding to Duquesne University School of Nursing students.

Alums Jonathan Dorph (Class of 2014), Alex Federinko (Class of 2011), PJ Blinn (Class of 2014), Mark Bucklaw (Class of 2012) and a group of parents and other alums will match all Cross Country and Track & Field donations dollar-for-dollar up to $3,500.

An anonymous Duquesne University faculty member will match donations to the Duquesne University Scholarship Association (DUSA) dollar-for-dollar, up to $1,000! Fr. Sean Hogan is President of the DUSA.

An anonymous football alumnus will match all Day of Giving donations to the Football program dollar-for-dollar, up to $20,000. This Matching Gift is in honor of Coach Jerry Schmitt who recently became the winningest coach in Duquesne Football History.

William F. Goodrich, Esq., A'74, L'79, of Goodrich & Geist, PC, will match donations to the Ice Hockey team dollar-for-dollar, up to $1,500!

Jackie Harvey, M'56 will donate $1,000 if 75 individuals make a gift to the School of Music.

Mary R. Grealy, L’78, will match individual donations of $500 or more to the Duquesne School of Law, dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000.

Heritage Valley Health System will match School of Nursing Alumni Endowed Scholarship donations dollar-for-dollar, up to $1,000.

Dean Mary Ellen Glasgow will donate $1,000 if 100 individuals make a donation to the School of Nursing.

Barbara Putignano P’86 will donate $1,000 if 100 individuals make a gift to the School of Pharmacy.

An anonymous donor will match all donations to the School of Business Student Managed Investment Fund dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000. The SMIF program will provide students with compelling experiences managing real money in four different funds, preparing them for success in the finance and investment management field. Key SMIF Program Faculty/Staff include: Phil Baird, Associate Professor of Finance; Vashishta Bhaskar, Assistant Professor of Finance; Jon Kinol (B’85), Executive-in-Residence (EIR) Supporting Student Managed Investment Funds; and Jennifer Milcarek, Program Director, Investment Strategy Institute.

An anonymous Women’s Bowling supporter will match donations to the women’s bowling team, dollar-for-dollar, up to $1,000.

Shea Hoffmann Murtaugh A'94 and James Murtaugh B'93 will match donations to the Duquesne Media department (formerly known as the Journalism and Multimedia Arts Department) dollar-for-dollar, up to $1,000. Duquesne Media is home to majors in Digital Media Arts, Multiplatform Journalism, Sports Information and Media, and Strategic Public Relations and Advertising.

The Gumberg Library Leadership Team will match donations to Gumberg Library dollar-for-dollar, up to $1,000.

Dean David Allen Wehr will match Mary Pappert School of Music donations dollar-for-dollar, up to $2,500.

Three anonymous School of Business alumni will match all donations to the School of Business Innovation Fund dollar-for-dollar, up to $20,000.

If 75 individuals donate to the School of Law, the Duquesne Law Alumni Association (DLAA) will donate $2,500; if 100 individuals donate, the DLAA will donate an additional $2,500; if 125 individuals donate Paul J. Gitnik L’85 will donate $5,000.

Francis Feld, N'93 will match School of Nursing donations dollar-for-dollar, up to $3,500.

An anonymous supporter and parent of a Duquesne University women's swimming alumna has made a $10,000 matching gift challenge to benefit the back-to-back A10 Champion Swimming and Diving program. All donations on the Day of Giving to the Swimming & Diving program, will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000.

An anonymous Women’s Soccer supporter will match donations to the women’s soccer team, dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000.
